Founder’s Story
My name is Phuong Nguyen. I am originally a scientific researcher who loves cooking and sharing my culinary creations with family and friends. Whether baking a dessert, decorating a cake for a special event or simply making my favourite Vietnamese food, cooking has always been one of the nicest ways for me to relax for a few hours.
Originally from Vietnam, I have grown up in a traditional Hanoi family. I know how to make the tasty Vietnamese food from fresh and healthy ingredients according to family recipes. These have been handed down for many generations. Since 2017, besides doing my PhD, I have started to learn many professional decorating and baking techniques. And now I can offer all kinds of decorative and tasty cakes, inspired by Asian style desserts. These cake recipes are more fluffy, and lower in fat and sugar than most Western-style cakes.
I would like to share the secrets of the authentic Vietnamese kitchen with its unique flavours. And also the cultural legacy of South-East Asia. For all this and more, Phuong’s Kitchen was established.
